FAQ

What are your hours?

Little Norway is open from 9am to 5pm during May, June, September through the last Sunday in October; and from 9am to 7pm during July and August. The last tour of the day leaves one hour before closing.

 

How often do tours go out?

Tour groups depart the gatehouse every 15 to 20 minutes. The last tour of the day leaves one hour before closing.

 

How long does the tour take?

Tours last between 45 minutes to one hour. However, you are welcome to explore the grounds on your own afterwards.

 

How far do you walk on the tour?

The tour encompasses an area of approximately one city block. There are plenty of places to sit and rest along the way.

 

Can you go through the buildings without a guide?

For the security of our artifacts, guests are only allowed in buildings during the guided portion of the tour. We also feel that by touring with our knowledgeable guides, guests will come to truly understand and appreciate Little Norway’s unique history.

 

Are pets allowed?

Sorry, but only service animals are allowed on our tours.

 

Can you picnic on the grounds?

Yes. Guests taking a tour of Little Norway are welcome to picnic on our grounds afterward. All we ask is that you pack in any food you will need, and pack out all trash.

 

What is your rain policy?

Tours continue unless there is severe weather. We do provide umbrellas in the event of mild rain.

 

Is Little Norway enjoyable for children?

Yes-kids love Little Norway! Children ages 5 and under are admitted free.

 

What’s the dog’s name?
 His name is Tromso. Norway named a city after him some 900 years ago…..
