Founded by Isak J. Dahle in 1927, Little Norway is now fourth generation family owned and operated.
A prominent Chicago businessman, Dahle originally purchased the property as a gathering place for his extended family. After furnishing the buildings with Norwegian antiques, he decided to open the attraction to the public in 1937.
Owner Scott Winner, Mr. Dahle’s great-nephew, manages the operation today with the help of wife Jennifer, and their children, Haley and Asher.
“I’m proud that we’ve been able to keep it in the family,” says Winner. “From my great uncle to my grandparents to my parents, Little Norway has been a labor of love for us for more than 80 years.”
Come experience the magic of Little Norway, and like millions of people from around the world, join our family if just for a day.
